Sorby Adams Wines

Simon Sorby Adams can attest to the theory that great wines are made in the vineyard.

As Chief Winemaker at Yalumba (Hill-Smith Family Estate) for over 20 years, which included opportunities to work International vintages, Simon honed his appreciation for the Barossa and crafted some of the region's most prized wines.

Continuing this with his own Sorby Adams Barossa wines established in 2004, Simon with wife Jill, partner with regional growers for each coming vintage to ensure the fruit is aligned to the wine for harvest. 

Lassell Barossa Grenache 2021

Colour:

Deep ruby with brick edge.

Aroma:

Fragrant wild strawberry & cranberry flavours with a hint of orange zest.

 

Palate:

Fragrant berries continue on the palate with a creamy finish. Matured in French oak hogsheads (30% new) for 18 months. Sealed with QORK.

 

Food Pairing:

A perfect dinner guest that pairs with food of all kinds. 

Arago Barossa Cabernet Shiraz 2019

Colour:

Dark brick red with magenta hue

Aroma:

Blackcurrant & spiced plum aromas are complexed by chocolate & vanilla

 

Palate:

Superbly fruited with cumin, olive, & dark cocoa. Multilayered with finely grained vanillin oak & a graceful finish. Matured in French oak hogsheads (30% new) for 30 months.

 

Food Pairing:

A sophisticated wine for fine dining & wagyu beef

Margret Eden Valley Pinot Grigio 2024

Colour:

Bright straw with green grey edges

Aroma:

Rock melon & mandarins with Jasmine & fresh pear

Palate:

Finely textured with citrus & pome fruits. Beautifully rounded, offering flowing mouthfeel & bright fruit flavours. Serve chilled to enjoy its refreshment

 

Food Pairing:

An adaptable wine that is suited as an aperitif, with roast chicken and right through to desserts of apple pie like Mum Margret's
